The procedure was implemented for the first time in 1998 by Dr Paulo Malo  and allows immediate fixation of prosthetic work in a single procedure, with the help of only four special implants. Traditional treatments usually require between 6 and 10 implants for lashing work. In addition, the method ALL ON 4 eliminates bone transplantation for both maxillary and mandibles.

This technique differs in that the implants are placed side at an angle of 45 degrees which increases their ability to support a fixed job. This allows the anchoring job with a fixed prosthetic implants much smaller number than usual.
The implants can be loaded immediately without waiting months for healing; provisional fixed prosthetic work can be carried and installed on the same day and immediately after the permanent implant healing and integration of the arch.
