Instructions for patients denture wearers
You should know that prosthetics is gradually improving, as wearing dentures and keeping in touch with the doctor who treated you and the fulfillment of our recommendations. Even if you wore dentures, the new ones you will feel different, it is like something is bothering you. We agree with you, but don’t be upset!
Unpleasant sensations will disappear soon! You do not seem to speak well? That is, for now, but for short period of time!
You surely wish to eat right and good. You could, but this it will happen gradually, and may even develop little pain on the gum, but do not worry!

Dentures must be worn continuously day and night. Remove from the mouth after every meal, wash both parts with soap and water - Brush - rinse well and put back in your mouth. When you wash dentures, keep them well in hand, they could break if you drop them.
So you can speak well in a short time, start speaking exercises. Read the newspaper or a book aloud, repeatedly, each day until you get accustomed to pronounce words correctly. In case of pain that occur on the gum, present yourself to the doctor and everything will come to normal.
If somehow the pain is very intense and only in this case, remove the prosthesis that produces pain, but necessarily place it in your mouth at least 2 hours before the doctor will, otherwise, the doctor cannot help you. At first, in the first week you will eat more easily using softer foods: smoothies, puddings, mince, etc..
We recommend you to use as often now as before the knife and fork to cut food into small pieces. You should not bite with the implants!
You must understand that dentures are dentures. They replace teeth, but are not attached to bone as natural teeth were.
So do not be surprised that you wide open the mouth, from yawning or coughing, they detach. Get used to a more moderate mouth opening: if you feel like coughing, put a handkerchief in front of lips, cough, otherwise you risk that the effort to cast dentures! Avoid foods very hard!

Instructions for the patient that has fixed orthodontic brackets
You have applied a fixed orthodontic appliance on the teeth. The brackets are an orthopedic device that will change shape and position of teeth at the end of treatment, some changes will occur in phonetics (pronunciation) and mastication. These changes will go away even after the first 10-14 days or 10-21 days (lingual appliances) from the beginning of treatment - this period is considered an adaptation period to the device. During this period, there may be some pain - it is advisable at this time to drink more liquids, to eat softer foods (milk, macaroni, mashed potatoes, soups, etc..). In need you can administrate analgesics and they can manage the pain.
During the treatment it is prohibited:
1 - to eat nuts, peanuts, seeds, popcorn and all sorts of hard and crunchy dishes.
2 – to eat fruits and vegetables, you can eat them only sliced thin.
3 - it is forbidden to chew gum and sticky sweets like toffee or sorbets.
In case you remove any bracket it is recommended to contact the dental office and return for replacing the device. Until you get to the office if you have a pain, it is recommended to apply in that place a piece of wax stick you were given by the orthodontist. It is forbidden to force pulling wire (spring) of metal is applied along the arch - this can lead to tooth movement and their extraction socket.
It is mandatory to keep very proper mouth hygiene according to guidelines from the doctor and hygienist. You must wash your teeth at least twice a day and use mouthwash INCOLORE. To maintain good hygiene of the teeth during treatment must be respected schedule of visits to the hygienist every 3-4 months as the doctor recommended.
